I am delighted to serve as your Chief Administrator for the Bo District Council under the Fifth Council dispensation. The desire for the actualization of a self-reliant Council is always flaring. And this can only be achieved when we realistically foster a collective effort that is geared towards delivering an efficient service to the people.
After years of diligent effort in building a resounding system in the Local Government administration, it always abhors a sense of discouragement when things seem to go at snail’s pace. Essentially, we have always made it an inherent part of how we achieve our mission. We are currently running a Council that is characterized by innovation, creativity, and ingenuity, and is always ready to co-incubate initiatives that will promote growth for the common good.
We are mindful of the limited resources and therefore harness a model of responsible consumption to distribute resources to mostly deprived communities. Such a practice has yielded fruitful years of governance with little or no attention paid to Service Providers. In critical moments like these, we therefore encourage citizensโ participation at all levels of our programs, ranging from planning, implementation and management of facilities.
In the fringes of development efforts, we are compelled by moral obligation to ignite an impressionable energy to deliver efficient service to the citizens of Bo District. ย It does not have to be this way. Our Administration has shown time and time again that we can stave off impending challenges, negotiate terms, and constructively engage in deliberations that will leverage our efforts to deliver critical services. We can do it again if we collaborate to raise the resources we so desperately need by honouring our tax obligations.
Since we took up Administration in August 2024, both Political and Administrative wings have remarkably gone through magnificent moments in managing the affairs of the Council. Overtime, we have illustrated a commitment to conveying demand driven services through the frequent review of our Development Plans to tailor our programs to the current felt needs of the people.
The essentiality of Local Councils is often not realized until a dire community need arises, and there is no way to go, then we shall become the only point of call in the locality. I urge you all to cooperate with my administration, as the doors are always open for constructive criticism, dialogue, and recommendations. We profoundly embrace the use of indigenous ideas to resolve our local problems, which I believe is sustainable and less costly.
My team and I are here to deliver on the mandate and aspirations of the District Council Chairman.
Together we can deliver!
Regards!
